Mysterious: A Detective Conan RPG
“Simple. Nobody gets hurt."

When a murder case contaminates a Kid heist in the Japanese Museum of Antiques of Beika city, Edogawa Conan knows that the culprit was not the phantom thief. But this seemingly unsolvable case has only set the police on pinpointing the thief as the murderer, despite his moral code.

Furthermore, this is no simple case of a murderer pinning the blame on Kaitou Kid; prolific members of the Black Organization, including Vermouth and Gin, are present, observing a new recruit. Even with his named cleared by the miniature detective, Kaitou Kid has landed in deep trouble with a conversation with Kudo Yuusaku and Vermouth in order.

On the rooftop. Kaitou Kid is confronted by Vermouth, with both disguise artists having managed to discern one another's identities. But when Vermouth takes an accidental tumble after a bullet wound to her foot, Kid saves her, only to lose her trust as quickly as he gained it when he had taken her phone's media card and later given it to the shrunken detective. The fact that Koizumi Akako has been eavesdropping on the conversation doesn't help him, all while Vermouth has been left stranded on the scene with her injury, ultimately being forced to call a temporary Bourbon to transport her out.

Meanwhile, further troubles have sprout when Kudo Yukiko checks up on Haibara Ai in genuine concern after the heist, only to find herself trying to wrestle information about the organization out of the paranoid shrunken scientist. Failing to do so, Yukiko lividly throws a tantrum at her son's mistreatment of her, forcing Shinichi to hurry home to take damage control.

On Kaito's end, he has been invited over to Beika by Yukiko to work on a "project" related to Sharon. Things aren't happy when Aoko and Akako pursue him in Beika. With Aoko now staying in the same household, daily life has gotten troublesome.

At the same time, Vermouth has landed in a predicament herself. With her media card--literally Pandora's box--in Shinichi's hands, she approaches Detective Mouri as a client. Claiming that her life is endangered from having witnessed a murderer, she plans her stay at the Mouri household.

Though Kaitou Kid may have promised safety in his heists, the same cannot be said outside of one, with the foreboding troubles in Beika city.

The How and Why of my Community.
The first time I knew of Detective Conan/Case Closed was the anime, about a decade or so ago. Back then, it was real early in the series, and there wasn't much going on in regards to the actual plot, IMO. As a result, my interest waned and I didn't see it again. A few years later, I noticed the manga in my local Border's. Again, it kinda interested me, but other than the billion yen robbery, in which we (the audience) are first introduced to Akemi Miyano's sister- through a vague no-feature image and the short exchange between Akemi and Gin.

That point caught my attention later, when the characters in the book (as well as the readers) are introduced to Haibara Ai in Volume 18. Not to mention the Gosho Aoyama's Mystery Library for the tankouban, in which the character from which Aoyama-sensei got Shinichi's name from, is introduced. (Why didn't he introduce him in volume 1, {Sherlock Holmes} or Volume 2 {Detective Mouri's namesake}?) It began to bother me a bit, in a good way. After all, you would think that the main character's namesake would be addressed first, if not early on right? However, that didn't happen until the formal introduction of the Creator of the APTX 4869 which had shrunk him and her (Why is the character a she? and Shinichi's age and with the same relative intelligence as well?). Suspicion, as well as hope, began to make me that much more interested in the series as a whole.

The later cases only served to increase my hope that Aoyama had introduced her for a very specific purpose. As Shinichi/Conan's equal (proven several times over intelligence-wise), hope (to create the cure for his condition), guardian (protecting him by listing his death as confirmed, among other things).

P.S. (will be added to later, when I have time)
